The Beginning of the End with Kyogre & Groudon II (Japanese: VS カイオーガ & グラードン II, Hepburn: VS Kyogre & Groudon II) is the 8th chapter of Pokémon Adventures: Volume 19.
Synopsis[]
Archie and Maxie managed to awaken Kyogre and Groudon, who unleash powers and start causing trouble in the Hoenn region.
Chapter plot[]
Stern reports they cannot go to the bottom of the sea. He does not know what the Team leaders are doing here, but notices there is something inside the Seafloor Cavern and possesses great power. Amber's Pelipper hits Kyogre by spouting water, causing Kyogre to wake up. Kyogre jumps and dives into the sea, pleasing Archie they were faster than Team Magma to revive Groudon. He is even more pleased by the fact the first one to revive one of these two ancient Pokémon has the advantage.
The Gym Leaders are shocked a tsunami caused cities to be flooded. Flannery is certain this is the effect from the death of the volcano. The Pokémon Association director contacts the Gym Leaders, reporting something big is about to appear out of the sea, an entity of sorts. He shows the Gym Leaders the entity is Kyogre, who is swimming at a fast pace. Kyogre hits the abandoned ship, splitting it in half, causing a Plusle and Minun to fall into the sea and a heavy rain appears. Meanwhile, Tabitha has Torkoal burn Groudon, who also awakens. Maxie is thrilled and congratulates Tabitha for awakening Groudon. Team Magma grunts worry, for Groudon escaped, but Maxie sees Groudon is just trying to find a big place to make its appearance.
Maxie sees Archie managed to awaken Kyogre first and Archie must be thinking he won this battle. Maxie knows better Blaise retrieved the Red and Blue Orbs, now in his possession. With these two Orbs, Maxie plans on controlling both Groudon and Kyogre from the Seafloor Cavern.
