The King Returns (Japanese帰還(きかん)HepburnKikantrans. Return) is the 15th episode of Pokémon Generations.

Synopsis[]

His plans left in ruins, Ghetsis makes one last attempt to bring Unova under his icy grasp. A hero arrives, intending to stop him.[1]

Episode plot[]

Amidst a frozen wasteland, in a cave, the frozen stalagmites crashed under Kyurem's roar. Ghetsis commanded Kyurem to empower itself and freeze Unova. However, a green haired man arrived on Reshiram and stopped Kyurem's attack. Ghetsis was amused the "freak without a human heart", N, has arrived.

N frowned, telling that he had heard that Kyurem was suffering. He stated he would not let human's selfish desires make Pokémon suffer. N also explained Unova taught him that is the place where humans and Pokémon can live in harmony. Ghetsis was amazed that N's education wasn't a complete waste, nor was his promotion to become a king.

However, Ghetsis has not forgotten N disrupted his plans and would teach him a "second lesson". He used the DNA Splicers on Reshiram. Reshiram tried to fire attacks to stop the beams, but failed. It got caught and bound to Kyurem, who absorbed it and twisted its appearance like Reshiram. N was astounded Pokémon could fuse together.

Ghetsis claims if only N became the king, Unova would preserve its beauty. Thus, he ordered White Kyurem to finish N off. Despite this, N still heard Reshiram's voice, feeling it wanted to be separated from Kyurem. Ghetsis was outraged, since they did not realize they are tools for his domination over Unova.

N called Ghetsis "father", stating that Pokémon and humans live together to reach new heights. Ghetsis was furious, calling N a "freak", claiming no person can talk to a Pokémon. Just as White Kyurem went to fire an attack at N, a thunder struck and negated the attack. Ghetsis and N noticed Zekrom, whom a person was riding on. Ghetsis was angry, while Zekrom roared.
