- Legendary Island is similar to Fire Island, Lightning Island and Ice Island from "Pokémon The Movie 2000".
- Even the geography is the same as the locations of the islands with fire on the left, ice in the middle and lightning on the right.
- In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, it is the only Friend Area where the locations of its inhabitants are fixed.
- In Rescue Team DX, Legendary Island exists as an actual location, though only used for a post-game cutscene and cannot be visited otherwise.
