The Cinnabar Gym (Japanese: グレンジム, Hepburn: Guren Gym) is the official Cinnabar Island Pokémon Gym. Blaine was the Gym Leader here. He trains Fire-type Pokémon. A volcano destroyed the original Gym in Generation II, forcing Blaine to move to the Seafoam Islands. In Generation III, the Gym has improved in design and has new Trainers.

In the Generation II games, the Cinnabar Island gym has relocated to a cave on Seafoam Islands since an eruption destroyed the gym on Cinnabar Island. There are no gimmicks in this gym as Blaine stands alone, waiting for the player for a battle.

New Seafoam Island Gym in HeartGold and SoulSilver

In HeartGold & SoulSilver, the Cinnabar gym has relocated to Seafoam Islands inside the cave on the right. After going down a ladder, the player will witness that the gym has been modified with a maze and various trainers guarding the paths towards Blaine. After the player socializes and defeats all of the trainers, the last trainer will make way to let the player pass through an opening towards Blaine.
