Fearow is a wild Normal/-type Pokémon who appeared a couple times in the anime.
Biography[]
The Beginning series[]
When Ash started his journey and Pikachu disobeyed him, he threw a stone onto a Spearow, mistaking it for a Pidgey. Spearow was enraged and attacked them, then summoned others to chase Ash and Pikachu off.
Later, when Ash, Brock and Misty went to the Orange Islands, they encountered that very same Spearow, who had evolved into a Fearow prior, which targeted a flock of Pidgey and Pidgeotto. It apparently still held a grudge against Ash and Pikachu and attacked them. Ash decided to fight it back, as his Pidgeotto evolved into a Pidgeot. Fearow went off, while Ash released his Pidgeot to protect the Pidgey and Pidgeotto, in case Fearow would return.
Diamond and Pearl series[]
When the clown lured Ash, Dawn and Barry in, each one had their memories how they started their journey. Ash remembered a bunch of Spearow attacking him, though he escaped with Pikachu.
