This Drifblim is a Ghost/-type Pokémon owned by Fantina.
Biography[]
As Drifloon[]
Fantina raised Drifloon when it was a baby Pokémon.
Fantina sent Drifloon to battle Ash's Buizel. It bypassed its Water Gun and executed Ominous Wind, hitting Buizel. However, Buizel used Aqua Jet, striking Drifloon, to which the latter used Hypnosis to put it to sleep. It then tossed Buizel away and used Psychic, bashing it to Ash and defeating it. Ash sent Chimchar next, who used Flamethrower. Drifloon's Psychic stopped the attack, and retaliated with Will-O'-Wisp, hitting Chimchar, and put it to sleep with Hypnosis. Ash recalled Chimchar back and sent Pikachu in, who also got struck with Will-O'-Wisp. Pikachu retaliated with Thunderbolt, hitting Drifloon, and went to use Volt Tackle, but was countered by Ominous Wind. As Pikachu used another Thunderbolt, Drifloon endured this attack and evolved into a Drifblim.[1]

Diamond and Pearl series[]
Pikachu went to use Thunderbolt, which Drifblim swiftly evaded. As Drifblim used Hypnosis on Pikachu, Ash surrendered the match, knowing well he would soon be defeated.[1]
As her final Pokémon during her Gym match against Ash, Fantina sent Drifblim to fight Pikachu. Pikachu used Thunderbolt, which indirectly struck Drifblim, paralyzing it. Drifblim simply used Psychic to remove this ailment. It then used Will-O'-Wisp and Psychic combo, deflecting Pikachu's Thunderbolt and hitting Pikachu with those attacks. Drifblim then quickly used Hypnosis and defeated Pikachu with Ominous Wind. Ash then sent Buizel, who used Aqua Jet, hitting Buizel. Buizel fired Ominous Wind, which collided with Buizel's Water Pulse.
To break through, Drifblim used Will-O'-Wisp to create an explosion, then quickly went to Buizel to defeat it with Hypnosis and Psychic combo. Ash sent Chimchar as his final Pokémon, who used Flame Wheel but was countered by Will-O'-Wisp. Chimchar fired Flamethrower, which molded with Drifblim's Wil-O'-Wisp and struck its opponent. Drifblim fired Ominous Wind, to which Chimchar used Dig. After it emerged, Chimchar grabbed Drifblim and tossed it to the ground. Drifblim went to use Hypnosis, as it was close to Chimchar, who quickly used Flamethrower to defeat Drifblim, thus earning Ash the victory.[2] Chimchar using Flamethrower to redirect Will-O'-Wisp, as well as defeating Drifblim, was remembered by Ash, Dawn and Brock, as they were going to Snowpoint City.[3]
Remembering Paul's words, Ash recalled his battle with Fantina's Drifblim. He realized he fought his battles alongside his Pokémon, and decided to build his strategy upon that for the battles in Sinnoh League.[4]
Fantina also appeared in the ending scene of the 13th Pokémon movie, along with her Drifblim.[5]
