Biography
Season 3: The Johto Journeys
Falkner, among other gym leaders
Falkner is the Gym Leader of Violet City, who dedicated his life to train Flying-type Pokémon. After rescuing Pikachu from Team Rocket, he took Ash, Misty and Brock to the Gym, where Ash challenged him to a match. He used Hoothoot, Dodrio and Pidgeot to battle Ash's Pokémon, but was defeated by Charizard's Seismic Toss.
Season 4: Johto League Champions
Falkner, among other Johto Gym Leaders, appears in the opening scene of Pokémon: Johto League Champions.
Season 5: Master Quest
When Team Rocket stole Ash's badges, Ash remembered his fights with the Johto Gym Leaders, as his Pokémon were responsible for winning those badges.
