Faldera Island is a location in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. It is one of the seven islands in the Oblivia region.
Overview[]
It is located south of Oblivia. Faldera Island is also the island where the Faldera Volcano is located, the home of the Legendary Bird Moltres. The island made up of the volcano's exterior, it's interior lava rivers, a steam filled room that houses Water Pokémon, and Moltres's nest. There is an Abomasnow lithograph that can be broken after the final level in the Fire Temple in Multiplayer Mode is cleared.
The Player and their Partner sail to the island on The Union to stop the Pincher's from nabbing Moltres. After navigating through the volcano's obstacles and the Pincher's, the Rangers use Entei's Ranger Sign to unlock the seal protecting Moltres's nest and confront the remaining Pincher's led by Red-Eyes. Even though Moltres is awakened, the Pinchers are driven off and move on to their next target. In the post-game, Moltres and the other legendary birds rampage across the sky and return to their respective islands when found by the Player and Partner. When the Player and Partner discover a piece of the golden armor had landed in Moltres's nest and it's power was the source of the legendary bird's behavior. After Moltres is captured, the armor piece is recovered and Moltres is freed from its influence.
After all the golden armor pieces are recovered, the Player can challenge Moltres again by using it's Ranger Sign at its nest.
