Description

Effect

In battle

Eruption inflicts damage. Its power is calculated using the formula below:

In other words, its power decreases if the user's current HP decreases. However, the power cannot be lower than 1.

In Pokémon X and Y, Eruption is one of the moves that destroy a yellow rock in the background of a battle when it is present.

Contests

The appeal works better the later it is performed.

  • Cyndaquil and its evolution line are the only starter evolution to learn Eruption.
