Trivia

  • Whimsicott is also based on cotton, however it is more fairy-like.

Origin

Eldegoss may be based off of a gossypium flower and a cotton ball. It may also be based on an elder as its leaves act as a cloak and its cotton may represent the white/grey hair of elderly people.

Etymology

Eldegoss comes from elder and gossypium.

It's Japanese name, Watashiraga, comes from wata (cotton) and shiraga (white hair).
