Eastern Sea is a location in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.

Overview

The Eastern Sea is an underwater cavern connected to an underwater volcano east of Sophian Island. Deeper into the cave there are damaging steam vents and a lightless area. During the final mission, an area previously blocked off by a current becomes available and unlocks a lightless tunnel home to Lugia.

The Player first travels to the Eastern Sea to activate one of the monuments for Latias/Latios's Ranger Sign. Since the volcanic water is too dangerous to reach by air, the Player has to ride the Union to reach the Eastern Sea. After getting past Pinchers who are also after the monument, the Player finds and activates the monument.

During the final mission, the Player returns to rescue Blue Eyes after she became trapped in the cave's depths during an attempt to rescue her reformed underlings after they got caught in a violent current during a treasure hunt. The Player manages to find and free Blue Eyes before her air runs out and the two reach the surface after being pursued by an enraged Lugia. When they reach the surface, Lugia follows them and the Player has to capture it to calm its rage. After Lugia is captured, it is revealed that the currents carry trash from Oblivia's oceans and the pollution was what caused Lugia to become so agitated.
