I'm Your Venusaur (Japanese: 神さま, Hepburn: The God) is the 9th chapter of The Electric Tale of Pikachu.
Synopsis
As the heroes are off to work, Pikachu, Pidgeotto and Bulbasaur are relaxing. They hear a story of a giant Venusaur spirit up in a huge tree. Bulbasaur does not believe the story, so they all go to the giant tree to see if the legend is true. As they do, they clash with Team Rocket, which causes them to fall down. Bulbasaur makes a wish, which saves their lives.
Chapter Plot
The heroes go to work, as they leave Pikachu and Bulbasaur for a while. Pikachu notices there are a lot of Pokémon that look like Bulbasaur. The Bulbasaur shows Pikachu the Venusaur tree. A legend states the Venusaur defended its people and from its body this tree grew, hence why the people around the town take care of Bulbasaur and Ivysaur. Bulbasaur thinks it is a fairy tale, but Ivysaur claims it is true. It is also known Venusaur's spirit lives on the tree. Bulbasaur refuses to believe, so a bunch of Venusaur claim that is is true, as they saw it themselves. At the night, Team Rocket goes to land, as they want to capture the spirit that lives on the tree. They land, but their air craft gets catapulted and destroyed.
Next day, Pikachu thinks Bulbasaur should see the Venusaur for itself. Bulbasaur does that, though Pikachu was kidding about that. Bulbasaur and Ivysaur use Vine Whip to climb, but the Venusaur warns them not to. Ivysaur and Bulbasaur continue, while Pikachu flies on Pidgeotto. After a while, Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Pikachu and Pidgeotto managed to come to the top, but do not see the spirit. Bulbasaur tells the spirit does not exist. Ivysaur goes to confirm, but runs away, as they are wrong. Bulbasaur, Pidgeotto and Pikachu turn around and see a gigantic tree, resembling a Venusaur. Bulbasaur and Ivysaur laugh, but consider that might be a spirit and could ask for a wish.
Suddenly, Team Rocket appears. Pikachu taunts them as they might live here, so Team Rocket replies they got stuck on this tree and cannot contact the HQ to send help. Still, Jessie sends Arbok and James Weezing. Weezing spreads the gas, while Bulbasaur warns Pikachu not to electrocute Team Rocket, as the gas will be ignited. However, Pikachu accidentally electrocutes, causing an explosion, blasting Team Rocket off, while the Pokémon are blown away. Pidgeotto rescues Pikachu, while Bulbasaur and Ivysaur fall down, wishing the spirit to rescue them. Suddenly, the tree moves, rescuing Bulbasaur and Ivysaur by grabbing them with the branch.
As Team Rocket blasts off, Bulbasaur and Ivysaur see the spirit rescued them. Ivysaur tells Bulbasaur to make a wish, but Bulbasaur admits he already did it.
