The Dream Ball (ドリームボール Dream Ball) is a Poké Ball introduced in Generation V that is only usable within the Dream World and Pokémon from the dream radar. The pattern of this ball is similar to Musharna. Like the Master Ball and Park Ball, it never fails to catch a Pokémon. It can only be used in the Entree Forest in the Entralink. Its distinctive pattern marks that the Pokémon within was caught in the Dream World, not the wild. Unlike the Park Ball and Master Ball, if the Dream Ball is somehow used in the wild it will fail. In Generation VIII, the Dream Ball's effect is changed: It now works better when trying to catch Pokémon that are sleeping.
The appearance of the Dream Ball is similar to that of Musharna. It has a pink and dark pink pattern on top of the capsule and a misty purple and white on the bottom half of the capsule.
In generation 5, the Dream Ball can be found in the Entree Forest
In generation 6, the Dream Ball cannot be obtained, except by hacking.
In generation 7, the Dream ball is unobtainable, except by hacking. When used against a wild Pokémon that is not in the Dream World, this Poké Ball does not have the same catch rate, and has a high tendency to fail. It has a catch rate similar to that of a regular Poké Ball when used in the wild.
