Drake's Gengar is a Gengar that was used by Drake of the Orange League. belongs to Drake of the Orange Crew. It was known as the clever trickster of his team.
It was the third Pokémon Drake used against Ash and it was no simple task to beat. Ash used his Tauros for some beginners luck against this shadow, but it was proven too powerful when it used Confuse Ray, forcing Ash to call it back.
Ash then had to use his Lapras for a better shot. However when it used Ice Beam, Gengar used Nightshade to counter. The collision of the two attacks resulted in a double knockout, giving Ash a victory at a high price.
Trivia
- In the dub, Drake made a pun about his Gengar saying Ash doesn't stand a "Ghost of a chance".
