The Giant Dragonite is a wild dragon/-type Pokémon that appeared in Mystery At The Lighthouse.
Biography[]
According to Bill, the giant Dragonite has wandered the planet for years due to being alone-it is the only one of its kind. Its lonely cries were heard by Bill at his lighthouse, and he recorded similar sounds in hopes of communicating with it. This eventually proved successful, and the giant Dragonite came to the lighthouse shortly after Ash Ketchum and his friends arrived there. Unfortunately, Jessie and James of Team Rocket were also present and began using bazookas on the Dragonite in an effort to subdue and capture it. Hurt by this, Dragonite refused Bill's pleadings to stay (as the attacks weren't his doing) as it no longer trusts him and departed, but not before smashing the lighthouse beacon in a fit of rage and sending Team Rocket flying. Bill remained hopeful that one day it might return.
