Doyle, like Christie, helped in the investigation of the missing Audino. He annoyed Christie, thinking his Solosis is much more useful than Christie and her Gothita. He teamed up with Ash to track down the Audino, while his Solosis helped them climb a cliff.

- Doyle is based upon Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, a popular mystery author and the author of Sherlock Holmes.
- Doyle's physical appearance (Bow tie and Glasses) acts as a reference to Conan Edogawa from another long running popular anime series Detective Conan (Case Closed).
