This Quaxwell is a Water-type Pokémon owned by Dot, although he was originally with the Rising Volt Tacklers. He is Dot's First partner Pokémon.
Personality[]
Quaxwell, as a Quaxly, likes to be clean and doesn't like to get dirty. Also, Quaxly has shown to be friendly and supportive of those he cares about, especially Dot. In addition, Quaxly seems to have shown big brother instincts as he shows this to his teammate Tinkatink and came to see her as his little sister, much like Sprigatito does with Hatenna. After he evolved into Quaxwell, he often practices his dance moves, due to his newfound confidence.
Biography[]
As Quaxly[]
As a Quaxly, Quaxwell was originally one of the Pokémon that resided in the Brave Olivine alongside other Pokémon with the Rising Volt Tacklers. However, Quaxly befriended Dot and Ludlow as he was usually with them. Quaxly then joined Dot when she became a streamer known as Nidothing. Although, Quaxly secretly wanted Dot to be his partner and hoped for her to catch him one day.[1]
Initially, Quaxly serves as Dot's messenger, either telling her about Liko and Roy's presence[2], or reminding her to give her Nidothing costume a wash. [3] He also helps Ludlow destroy the suspicious device that Zirc has implanted onto the Brave Olivine. [1]
After Friede gives Dot a Pokéball, Quaxly requests Dot to be their official Partner Pokémon, which she accepts. After coming out, he is congratulated by their other trainers' Pokémon. Later on, the teams split up to find Liko's pendant after noticing the Ancient Pokéball glow. Quaxly chooses to go to the cargo ship and are encountered by Spinel's Beheeyem. Quaxly saves Dot with a Wing Attack behind Beheeyem, causing it to retreat. After Dot notices the signal being jammed, the ship horns ready to leave, and pressured by Spinel's Magneton and Beheeyem, Quaxly fires Water Gun up in the sky. After being cornered by Spinel's Pokémon, including getting hit by Electro Ball, Sprigatito saves Quaxly by hitting Spinel's Magneton with Quick Attack, eventually reuniting the three teams. As Quaxly gets hit by a combo move from Magneton and Beheeyem, they are eventually saved again by Sprigatito. Sprigatito and Quaxly pair up to defeat Beheeyem. After Spinel's Magneton faints thanks to Roy's Pokémon, he sends out his Umbreon, which the Pokémon struggle against. That battle is soon aborted after Liko requests and successfully retrieves the pendant.[1]
When Roy and Fuecoco are attacked by a group of Skwovet and Greedent, Quaxly and Dot help them by scaring the group of wild Pokémon away.[4]
Quaxly accompanies Dot on helping a fan called Yuno and her Oinkologne Guru. Seeing how Guru is too nervous to attract her fragrance for Prince, Quaxly dances to attract a group of female Pokémon, which causes the jealous Prince to use Sand Attack on him. Thanks to Quaxly, Liko and Roy's assistance, Yuno and Renta succeed in becoming a team.[5]
When shopping for a microphone, Quaxly and Dot come across a Tinkatink, who takes the microphone and turns it into her hammer. After retrieving the hammer for Tinkatink from a wild Orthworm, Quaxly persuades Dot to capture Tinkatink as their new teammate.[6]
Quaxly and Tinkatink are sent out against Chalce's Medicham, which they succeed. Quaxly and Dot then successfully disable the Explorers' device aimed at summoning Lucius' Rayquaza.[7] He, along with Sprigatito, Amethio's Ceruledge, Friede's Charizard and Fuecoco, then challenges Rayquaza, although failing to do so.[8]
During Iono's rehearsal for Dot's Tersastalization test, Quaxly is defeated by Fuecoco, due to Dot's fear of crowds. However, Quaxly is frustrated when Dot tries to boost her own confidence with ther Nidothing costume, as he doesn't want her to be overly dependent on the costume as her identity. After retrieving the costume from a Varoom which got provoked by Tinkatink earlier, Quaxly reconciles with Dot, and they become a stronger duo.[9]
At Dot's Terastalization test, Quaxly struggles against Iono's Bellibolt, due to his own type disadvantage. During the battle, he learned Liquidation, although is still outclassed by Bellibolt. Luckily, Quaxly and Dot's efforts are still recognized by Iono, who gives their test result a pass.[10]
Quaxly and Iono's Bellibolt later team up against Poppy's Tinkaton and Copperajah, which they both succeed in defeating due to their great teamwork.[11]
Quaxly and his friends help Mokichi and his wife Nandi with their restautrant's struggling business. Quaxly also becomes friends with Mokichi's Kingambit. To help promote the resutaurant's new dish made by Kingambit, Quaxly and Dot take advantage of Sidian's Garganacl's Salt Cure to accentuate Kingambit's dough's aroma, saving the restaurant's business by promoting Kingambit's udon made for the restaurant.[12]
During the fight against Larry's Staraptor, Quaxly evolves into Quaxwell.[13]
As Quaxwell[]
Despite evolving and Terstalizing, Quaxwell was still suffering the paralysis from his previous battle against Dudunsparce while he was still a Quaxly at time, allowing Staraptor to knock Quaxwell out with Facade. Despite his loss, Dot still passes the test due to Quaxly's evolution.[13]
