This Ditto is a Normal-type Pokémon appearing in "A Talent for Imitation".
Biography[]
This Ditto was hired the director Kublock; initially a no-name actor, it soon became popular after growing its talents under Kublock's watch. Kublock began to air a movie featuring two Gardevoir, in which Ditto would play one of them. Ditto managed to transform into Gardevoir, but soon reverted to its original form after being stunned during one of the scenes. When Kublock yelled at it, the Ditto fled from the stage in tears, despite the manager's pleas to stay.
Ditto stowed away in Jessie's bag, where the trio ended up finding it after they had been ejected out of the studio. Meowth learned that it had ran away due to being intimidated by Kublock's frustrations, so the trio decided to help it regain the confidence it once had. It agreed to work in a scheme to steal other Trainers' Pokémon by transforming into them through a "magic" trick, but its nervousness initially caused the operation to fail. After being able to find a way to make it confident, they resumed the scheme, this time on Ash's Pikachu with success. This was short-lived however, as the manager arrived, causing Ditto to flee with the group.
Seeing no other choice, Team Rocket pretended to hold Ditto hostage and were promptly blasted off by Pikachu's Thunderbolt. Ditto looked up at the sky, seemingly upset at the loss of its friends and returned to the studio, where it became terrified when Kublock yelled at a stage hand. However, recalling Jessie's words, it slapped its face to regain confidence and successfully finished the shoot from earlier. Ditto was pleased at the success, finally regaining the confidence it once had and encouraged to fulfill its ambitions.
