Disable is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.
Description
Games | Description |
---|---|
GSC | Disables the foe's most recent move. |
RSE | Psychically disables one of the foe's moves. |
FRLG | For a few turns, it prevents the foe from using the move it last used. |
DPPtHGSS | For several turns, this move prevents the foe from using the move it last used. |
BWB2W2 XYORAS SMUSUMPE |
For four turns, this move prevents the target from using the move it last used. |
Effect
This move disables an attack of the opponent's Pokémon for a number of turns (fixed to four since Generation V). In the later generations, Disable disables the last used attack by a Pokémon. If Disable is used during a period in which Encore is active on a target, the target will be forced to use Struggle until either Encore's effects wear off or the move is no longer disabled.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Disable will instead paralyze the opponent.
