The Dewford Town Gym is the second Gym to be challenged in the Hoenn region. The leader here is Brawly, who uses Fighting-type Pokémon and so do his trainers. When the player first enters the gym, it is pitch-black, say for a small circle of light. As the player beats the gym trainers the radius of the circle becomes larger and when the player beats the Gym Leader, Brawly, the entire Gym is lit. It is based off of an actual gym.
