Crystal Crossing (Japanese: だいすいしょうのみち, Hepburn: Big Crystal Road) is a dungeon in Explorers of Time and Darkness and Explorers of Sky, unlocked after clearing the puzzle at the end of Crystal Cave.
At the end of the dungeon is the Crystal Lake (Japanese: すいしょうのみずうみ, Hepburn: Crystal Lake), which holds a Time Gear and is guarded by Azelf.
The dungeon cannot be revisited until after the credits. After clearing Crystal Cave since then, the player can continue their adventure here.
After the credits roll, the player can revisit Crystal Lake to battle Azelf. If Azelf is defeated, it will join the player's team.
Plot[]
The player character and their partner continues their adventure at Crystal Crossing, after clearing the puzzle of three giant crystals at the end of Crystal Cave.
At the Fogbound Lake, Grovyle has already appeared, ready to take the Time Gear there. Azelf has set up a fail-safe system of crystallizing the lake, rendering Grovyle unable to get the Time Gear. As the player character and their partner arrive, they battle Grovyle to prevent him from further injuring Azelf.
Regardless of the outcome, the player and their partner are seen losing, having received heavy damage along with Azelf. Dusknoir appears, but Grovyle vanishes and Dusknoir goes after him. Other guild members arrive and take the player and their partner to their room in the guild.
