Crocalor (アチゲータ, Achigeeta?) (KROCK-uh-lor[1]) is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.
Biology[]
Physiology[]
Crocalor is a bipedal Pokémon. Its crocodilian body is red, with black, 3 digited hands and feet. Its back and tail have yellow, rectangular scales. Its chest is white with black and yellow stripes, and its face is white with red squares on the cheeks, 2 red triangles for nostrils, a hook-like top jaw, 6 teeth on the bottom jaw, and a long snout.
Atop Crocalor's head is an orange mass of fire energy shaped like a nest, with yellow squares patterning it. This "nest" contains a yellow, glowing, egg-shaped fireball on top, borne out of Crocalor's fire energy and overflowing vitality.

Crocalor's internal flame sac has a valve that connects to its vocal cords. As a result, Crocalor lets out guttural cries as it releases fire from its mouth.
Evolution[]
Crocalor evolves from Fuecoco starting at level 16 and evolves into Skeledirge starting at level 36.

- Crocalor, its pre-evololution Fuecoco and its evololution Skeledirge are the only Fire-type starters based on an animal not represented in the Chinese Zodiac.
Origin[]
Crocalor is based on an Crocodile, and the egg in the nest on it's head is based on a Easter mona, a type of cake in Spanish cuisine, it could also vaguely resemble a bouquet of Mexican marigold, and a sombrero.
Crocolar's face markings resembles a skull.
Etymology[]
Crocalor originates from "crocodile" and "calor", the Spanish word for "heat" and a reference to its Fire type.
