This Simisage is a grass-type Pokémon owned by Cilan.
Biography[]
As Pansage[]
Black was going to Striaton City to challenge the Gym Leaders trio, including Cilan and Pansage.[1]
Pansage, Panpour and Pansear appeared with the Striaton Gym Leaders. The three Pokémon prepared tea for Black, Cheren and Bianca, signaling that the Gym Leaders accepted Black's Gym Challenge, which turned out to be the three Gym Leaders confronting Black and his friends.[2] Pansage battled Bianca's Oshawott. As the latter went to use Water Gun, it was knocked away by Pansage's Vine Whip. Oshawott used Tackle on Pansage, to which Pansage, Pansear and Panpour used Work Up to increase their power, and retaliated back at Snivy, Oshawott and Tep. Pansage used Vine Whip at Oshawott. As the latter rammed its scalchop on Pansear, defeating it, Pansage shattered Oshawott's scalchop with Vine Whip, but Cilan assured them it would regrow back. With another Vine Whip, Pansage defeated Oshawott, then confronted Black's Tep. Tep went to use Ember, to which Pansage evaded, and Panpour used Water Gun on Tep to hurt it. However, Tep, Oshawott and Cheren's Snivy ate some of the leaves that Pansage discarded during the battle. As the three recovered, time was up, and due to the Striaton Gym Leaders having less number of Pokémon than their challengers, they lost the battle.[3]
Chili, Cress and Cilan were drinking tea. With their tea-time over, they braced their Pansage, Panpour and Pansear, for they were heading to Nacrene City's museum.[4] Chili, Cilan and Cress sent Pansear, Pansage and Panpour to battle the Shadow Triad's Lilligant, Basculin and Larvesta at the P2 Laboratory.[5] The brothers' Pansage, Pansear and Panpour confronted the Shadow Triad's Volcarona, Basculin and Lilligant, respectively. Despite having type disadvantages, the brothers threw the Evolutionary Stones to their Pokémon, making them evolve.[6]
As Simisage[]
The three Pokémon evolved into Simisage, Simisear and Simipour, and continued their battle. Keldeo sensed these three Pokémon radiated happiness, and went to attack the enemy, the Shadow Triad. The latter, seeing how powerful Keldeo was, went to attack, to which Cilan, Chili and Cress had their Pokémon protect Keldeo, until Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion arrived.[6]
