Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver[]
Pikachu bumps into Poliwrath, who resists his Quick Attack.
Poliwrath battled against Ash's Pikachu when Ash challenged Chuck to a Gym battle. It was quite fast, being capable of dodging several of Pikachu's electric attacks, although one Thunderbolt did hit it. However, Poliwrath recovered and resisted Pikachu's Quick Attack and knocked him out with Double Slap. Ash sent out Bayleef, who evaded Poliwrath's Water Gun and cut it with Razor Leaf. Bayleef then tossed Poliwrath away with Vine Whip. Though Chuck had his Poliwrath focus on the incoming attacks, Bayleef managed to defeat Poliwrath with Body Slam.[1]
