Chad is a character appearing in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.
Biography[]
Chad grew up being told tales of Ho-Oh by his grandfather Jaye after he spotted it one day, especially being intrigued by the Rainbow Wing that his grandfather owned as proof of the sighting. However, his grandfather eventually began to lose hope in finding Ho-Oh, throwing out the Rainbow Wing and leaving it in Chad's possession.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series[]
He uses his Fearow and Cyndaquil to mimic Ho-Oh in order to give his grandfather hope that he might have seen Ho-Oh. However, Ash's Pikachu strikes down the two Pokémon from the air with Thunderbolt. Chad explains to Ash and Goh his grandfather's tale and the three decide to call for Ho-Oh at the top of Bell Tower with Jaye. After he, Ash, Goh, and Jaye climbed the Bell Tower, the attempted to call for Ho-Oh, though their calls were unsuccessful in calling for the Rainbow Pokémon. However, Jaye is able to see Ho-Oh flying through the air as Chad and the two Trainers are about to leave the tower, ultimately giving hope to his grandfather.
