Fairy categorization[]

I suggest something I think is rather important. Why do all the Pokémon from seasons 1 to 16 which species were changed or added the Fairy type in the sixth generation are categorized as Fairy-type Pokémon? I think they should stay as they were. Why? In this moment if you play any of the Pokémon games that were released prior to Pokémon X and Y the Pokémon that were changed of type have the type they had. So, if you watch any season prior the eighteenth season the Pokémon that were changed to the Fairy type are still their previous types. Obviously, all Pokémon that appear in the eighteenth season onwards must have that new typing, or, if the specific same Pokémon appears again, it should be changed. But a Pokémon that was born from seasons 1-17 and died in seasons 1-17 must keep its original type. Icy Flasher (talk) 22:40, September 28, 2015 (UTC)

Thing is that people may be confused to see a Pokémon, say, Azurril, to be a normal-type, when it is in fact a fairy type as well, despite it appearing in previous seasons.

That and not only are fairy-type Pokémon included, but the other moves. Heck, if you are referring to that argument, then Pokémon like Magnemite and Magneton have to be also changed because there was no steel-type in Gen I.

So to make it short, there are a couple of reasons why it is kept like that, mostly to have them "upgraded" to new formats and styles. Energy X 22:56, September 28, 2015 (UTC)

I don't see why there would be a confusion, just in the categories it can be specified. And yeah, all Magnemite and Magneton that appeared before the Johto journey must be categorized as pure Electric types as well. Well, just my opinion. Icy Flasher (talk) 14:24, September 29, 2015 (UTC)
