In the mainline games, including Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield and Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet have an option to purchase the DLC, giving them new perks and locations.

In Gates to Infinity, the game provides extra downloadable content that the player can purchase and download to obtain extra items, skills and many more. Each also gets extra content like music based off of previous games for the Main Menu and Music Paradise.
