Cascoon (Japanese: マユルド, Hepburn: Mayurudo) (CAS-koon[1]) is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III and one of the two evolved forms of Wurmple.
Cascoon evolves from Wurmple starting at level 7 and evolves into Dustox starting at level 10.
Biology[]
Physiology[]
Cascoon, a spherical Pokémon resembling a cocoon, is enveloped in purple silk save for two openings that reveal its red eyes. This delicate silk transforms into a resilient cocoon capable of withstanding assaults. Despite its passive nature during attacks, Cascoon harbor a memory of the pain it suffers, vowing retribution upon evolving.
Behavior[]
Cascoon resides in forests, concealing itself under large leaves and within tree branch crevices. It camouflages by affixing dead leaves to its body. As it generates energy for evolution, its cocoon interior heats up. The emergence of cracks signals impending evolution. Cascoon's silk, known for being slender yet robust, outshines Silcoon's in both sheen and texture. This silk is sought after for crafting premium garments.
