This Abomasnow is a Grass/Ice-type Pokémon owned by Candice.
Biography[]
Candice was a friend to Maylene, and they sometimes battled with their Pokémon against one another.[1]
When Candice and Abomasnow encountered Platinum freezing in the snow, Abomasnow picked her up and placed her at the doorstep of the Snowbound Lodge.[2] Candice switched her Froslass out with her Abomasnow, while Platinum called Rapidash and sent Lopunny out during the Gym Battle. Abomansow used Ice Shard, and hit Lopunny. However, Platinum had it bounce around Abomasnow and distracted it, long enough for Lopunny to defeat it with Jump Kick.[3]
As they faced a steep cliff, Candice sent Abomasnow, who carried her, Platinum and Maylene to the top by using Rock Climb.[4] Candice was immobilized, but managed to send her Abomasnow out, declaring she won't let Jupiter get away with this. As Abomasnow went to attack, it was halted by Sableye, who used Shadow Sneak on it. Candice had Abomasnow absorb the attack and attempt to hit Tangrowth, who used Natural Gift, which burned Abomasnow and made Candice fall down.[5] To become stronger in the fight against Team Galactic, Candice, Abomasnow and Froslass went with Platinum and Maylene to meet up with Volkner, who would train them.[6]
Candice confronted Team Galactic commanders at the Spear Pillar. She sent Abomasnow and Froslass, who teamed up with Riolu and Meditite, to battle Juputer's Pokémon.[7] Candice and Maylene faced Jupiter, who had Tangrowth use Natural Gift. To stop it, Abomasnow fired Ice Shard, along with Riolu's Aura Sphere. The two sides exchanged blows, but Jupiter and Tangrowth were defeated. Since Cyrus was conducting his plans, space and time was being warped, so they could not reach him. The Gym Leaders went through the tunnels to get to Cyrus, and had their Pokémon attack the Red Chain to shatter it. Abomasnow was damaging the Red Chain, until it snapped.[8] In fact, Abomasnow and the others shattered the fake, incomplete chain, leaving Cyrus to control Dialga and Palkia with the true Red Chain.[9]
