They first appeared as Shroomish hearing the noise of their friends and demanded that Team Rocket give them their fruit back, to which they refused, but then they evolved into Breloom. They went after the trio until they ran into Ash and friends. They got caught in their mess in which an explosion, caused by Mach Punch, resulted in everyone being separated.
