Brassius is a man with green hair resembling thorny vines and gray eyes with bags under them. He wears a red long-sleeved shirt with a yellow collar, black pants and green shoes. On his waist is a gray vine whip.
His Grass type preference is reflected in his thorny hair resembling spiny vines and his shirt having a thorny rose bud motif. His gray vine whip is often held like a portable garden hose, but likely has a dark thorny appearance to reflect his theme of "Every rose has its thorns" taken to the literal extreme.
Personality[]
Brassius takes his artwork seriously and has created sculptures based off Pokémon. He tends to suffer from artist block if he has trouble coming up with new masterpieces. Because of this, he often turns down Gym Challenges. Like many Gym Leaders, Brassius often provides advice to other trainers as demonstrated in his unofficial Gym Battle against Roy.
Biography[]
When Brassius first appears, he is stuck in a rut after being unable to carve an adequate sculpture of the black Rayquaza. He is visited by Liko, Roy and Nemona. Roy battles him and helps him snap out of it.[1]
Brassius is chosen as Roy's opponent for his Terastal course. Roy travels to Artazon alongside Liko and Dot where Brassius is preparing for an art festival alongside Hassel, his friend. Brassius refuses to battle Roy until after the art festival, but nonetheless watches his battle against Nemona. When he uses the rain as an excuse for his loss, he chastises him and tells him he won't battle Roy until he learns what he's missing. After he is satisfied that Roy has learnt his lesson, he battles him with his Sudowoodo once again. Both terastallize and Roy comes out on top, so Brassius passes him.[2]
