Effect

In battle

In Generation III, the user endures damage for either two or three turns, then retaliates with double the damage taken. As of Generation IV, the user only endures damage for two turns, then retaliates with double the damage taken. If more than one Pokémon hits the user, Bide will hit the last Pokémon to attack.
