Bede watched the battle between Raihan and Leon together with his Hatenna in the stadium.
He later reappeared when ready to succeed Opal's position as the Gym Leader, promising to show the power of pink. While performing with his Pokémon, Bede was invited to the Galarian Star Tournament with Opal by Leon. Therefore, he appeared at Wyndon Stadium, walking out during the tournament's opening ceremony.
