This Hatenna is a Psychic-type Pokémon owned by Bede.
Biography[]
As Hatenna[]
Bede and Hatenna were at the entrance to Turffield with Hop and Marnie when they were approached by Henry Sword, Casey, Marvin and Sonia. Bede had Hatenna use Confusion to shatter the boulder, and with everyone's combined efforts, they lifted the boulder away and relocated it. However, Bede remained behind, as Hatenna was the one that protected the boulder from others' attacks and lifted it up. Thus, Hatenna shattered the boulder so Bede could collect the Wishing Star that was placed inside it.[1] Bede eventually had Hatenna detect Wishing Stars, to which the Pokémon found it in the mural at Stow-on-Side.[2] Bede used Hatenna in Hammerlocke to move the staff away, so he could go into the power plant.[3] Bede used Hatenna to participate in his Gym Leader training. Bede went to order aa finishing blow towards a Trainer's Slurpuff, but the Trainer distracted Bede enough to retaliate against his Hatenna.[4]
As Hattrem[]
Bede went with Opal to Rose Tower, to confront Chairman Rose. As Oleana stood in their way, Bede sent Hattrem and Rapidash to battle her.[5] When Casey's Mega and Giga came out of their Poké Balls, Hattrem sensed their presences in the moat.[6] With Chairman Rose in trouble, Bede and Hattrem went to the top of the tower. Raihan and Leon attempted to save Rose when Eternatus swung its tail to attack. Hattrem saw this, and, becoming determined, evolved into a Hatterene.[7]
As Hatterene[]
Hatterene used Dazzling Gleam, striking at Eternatus. The blow was strong enough to distract Eternatus, and to have Raihan and Leon pull Rose from the battlefield.[7] With a bright flash, the Gym Leaders found Bede and Hatterne, as well as the rest, having fallen unconscious. After Bede's recovery, he and Hatterene went to see Chairman Rose at the police hospital, but the access was restricted.[8]
