This Beartic is an ice-type appearing in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.
Biography[]
This particular Beartic had issues controlling its ice powers and would inexplicably freeze almost everything in its sight, causing the local Pokémon to flee upon seeing it. When Ash, Misty and Brock arrived to see some Magikarp jump a waterfall, they instead found it completely frozen. Upon further investigation, they were led to Beartic, who wanted them to help control its powers. During the training, Beartic accidentally opened a large chasm, but with Ash's guidance, used its powers to scale back up to the surface and controlled its powers, allowing it to befriend the other Pokémon.
