Baxcalibur (Japanese: セグレイブ, Hepburn: Segureibu) (bak-SKA-leh-burr[1]) is a Dragon/Ice-type Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is the final evolved form of Frigibax.
Biology[]
Physiology[]
Baxcalibur is a large draconic/saurian Pokémon that resembles a bipedal dinosaur. It has a primarily dark grey body and light grey hexagon-shaped patches that cover its underbelly and knee pads. Its face is covered with a white ice mask while its three front sharp claws are covered with red quills. On its back lies a large dorsal plate with a black diamond inside of it with ice lining the outside.
Behavior[]
Best seen when using its signature move, Glaive Rush, Baxcalibur uses its icy breath to propel forward while upside down, and its head and limbs as support. It then finishes off its opponent with a single strike from its large blade-shaped dorsal fin.
Natural Abilities[]
Baxcalibur's icy breath is capable of freezing anything solid, even lava.
Evolution[]
Baxcalibur evolves from Arctibax at level 54.

Trivia[]
- Baxcalibur and its pre-evolved forms are the only Ice-type Pokémon in the Dragon Egg Group.
- Baxcalibur is the only pseudo-legendary Pokémon whose catch rate is not the same across its entire evolutionary family.
- Baxcalibur's design and evolving at level 54 could be a reference to 1954, the year the first Godzilla movie was released.
- Its signature move Glaive Rush could be a reference to when Godzilla is gliding on his tail as an attack in one of the Godzilla movies.
Origin[]
Baxcalibur is based on certain dinosaurs including Concavenator, Ouranosaurus, Spinosaurus, Dimetrodon, and Arizonasaurus. It is also based on Godzilla.
Etymology[]
Baxcalibur is a portmanteau of back, axe, and Excalibur.
Segureibu is a portmanteau of 背 (se, back), glaive (a type of bladed weapon similar to a spear), and possibly grave (serious in a negative sense).
