Bad Dreams (Japanese: ナイトメア, Hepburn: Nightmare) is an ability introduced in Generation IV. It is the signature ability of Darkrai.

At the end of each turn, each Pokémon that is asleep will lose 1/8 of its maximum HP while the Pokémon with this ability is on the field.
It only inflicts damage on the turn Yawn puts the target to sleep. Abilities like Shed Skin may cancel out this ability if they activate and cure the status condition.
