- This episode was originally intended to air on March 24, 2011, however it was postponed indefinitely because of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. TV Tokyo has stated that it will be broadcast at another time, although as of March 15, 2011 when that statement was made, the episodes have not aired and their official statement from then has not been updated or clarified on whether it is still applicable. As of late 2018, all summaries of the Black & White series including the promise to air these episodes was taken down from TV Tokyo's online TV guide timetable.
- According to Tom Wayland[1], The Pokémon Company International and the English dub's production staff at DuArt were sent both this episode and "Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma! Part 1" from Japan and he has therefore seen them, although the episodes were not dubbed as a result of them never airing in Japan to date but also because of the amount of warlike depictions used in the episode. According to him, this decision was made by TPCi, not him or DuArt.
- This is contrary to what happened with "An Undersea Place to Call Home!," where an early June 2014 schedule confirmed that the episode was already dubbed and sent to Cartoon Network with a planned U.S. air date of July 5, 2014 prior to Japan's decision to skip it over.
- Similar to "An Undersea Place to Call Home!," this episode was also intended to air as the 24th episode of the series and then be followed by a Gym Battle episode, however unlike this episode, the former eventually aired.
- This is contrary to what happened with "An Undersea Place to Call Home!," where an early June 2014 schedule confirmed that the episode was already dubbed and sent to Cartoon Network with a planned U.S. air date of July 5, 2014 prior to Japan's decision to skip it over.
- This is the final appearance of both Jessie and James' charcoal grey Team Rocket uniforms, reverting to their original color white in the next episode.
- This episode's original Japanese script, along with the previous one's, surfaced online in May 2023.
