Avalanche is an Ice-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect[]

Avalanche is one of many moves that inflicts damage. If the user has been hurt in the same turn by the target, Avalanche's attack power will be doubled. In a Double Battle, Avalanche can target any Pokémon around the user. In a Triple Battle, Avalanche can only target a Pokémon that's adjacent to the user.

Description[]

Avalanche is a TM in several games, but the numbering varies between generation and game. It started as TM72 in Generation IV, then TM64 in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, and TM046 in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. It is also TM64 in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, remakes of the Generation IV games Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version.
