Andreas was a trainer who competed in the Seaking Catching Contest. After meeting Misty, he taunted her by calling her Red. When Misty and Andreas put the Seaking on the scale, they both saw their Seaking weigh 55 kilos. So, they had to fight each other, though they worked together on defeating Team Rocket. Andreas' Poliwrath attacked Misty's Poliwhirl, pushing it away. Misty's Pokémon supported Poliwhirl, who managed to defeat Poliwrath. Andreas apologized to Misty, seeing Poliwhirl did its best to defeat his Poliwrath.
