The Amulet Coin (おまもりこばん, Amulet Coin?) is an item introduced in Generation II.

Description[]

The Amulet Coin is a rare held item that doubles the prize money received from a Pokémon Trainer if the player's Pokémon in the battle is holding the item and wins. The most effective use of the Amulet Coin is giving it to a Meowth and using the move Pay Day on the targeted Pokémon.

The Amulet Coin used to be at a low value if sold at Poké Marts. It is worth a lot more money from Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon onward, likely becuase of its rarity.
