Alexa is a character from Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. She is a photographer and a journalist from Lumiose City and she is the older sister of Viola.
Appearance[]

Alexa is a slender young woman with fair skin and green eyes. Her light brown hair is mostly collected, though a few curly tufts protrude from her head. Clothing-wise, Alexa wears a very fashionable outfit that shows off her slender frame. It consists of a tight black and red shirt with a white collar and medium-length sleeves with white cuffs, along with skin-tight gray pants, a huge brown and silver belt, and very long brown boots with gray buckles. She also wears two yellow earrings and paints her nails red to express herself. Additionally, since Alexa is a journalist, she sometimes wears a headset composed of a microphone on her left side and a camera on her right. She also stores her Poké Balls in a fanny pack that she keeps around her waist.
Personality[]
Alexa is a very mature and kind woman towards others, and is very sociable. She is very dedicated to her work as a reporter to take screenshots of any good scene for her to see her story and then at night, when everyone is asleep releases her cover to make it in the best possible way for printing on your book about Pokémon. She loves her job and enjoys filming things with her camcorder.
She is somewhat forgetful, as often leaves her computer in the saddle bags, and her Gogoat has to remind her where she left it.
Etymology[]
The name Alexa could come from "Allexis", a genus of plants. The Allexis genus is also related to the Viola genus of plants, which could be a reference to Alexa's relation to Viola.
Her Japanese name, Pansy, is literally "pansy", a flowering plant.
Biography[]
Alexa first appears in Santalune City, standing just next to the Route 4 entrance and blocks the player character's way to the route until they have beaten Viola. When the player attempts to go to Route 4 after beating Viola's Gym, she gives the player the Exp. Share.
Alexa can then be encountered at the Lumiose Press, where she will remain throughout the rest of the game. Claiming that she "knows everything about the city", she will tell the player character about information about the various locations in Lumiose City upon interaction.

- Alexa's concept art reveals that Viola is jealous of her older sister. However, her jealously was never displayed anywhere else other than said concept art.
