Template:Alcremie Alcremie (Japanese: マホイップ, Hepburn: Mahoippu) is a Fairy-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It can also Gigantamax into Gigantamax Alcremie.
Biology
Physiology
Alcremie is a vaguely mammalian Pokémon resembling a cake. Its small head has a large tuft, as well as two ears with one topping on each one. It has oval-shaped eyes with small eyebrows resembling dots, and a small mouth with no visible nose. There are 28 different variations in colors and toppings, each with a different flavor. The color of its skin varies while its eye color will match whatever toppings are on its head.
Gigantamax Alcremie stands on a giant cake similar to that of a wedding cake. It also wears a big blue bow.
Behavior
Alcremie is often adored by Galarian pastry chefs for its apparently delicious cream, which becomes more enriched the happier Alcremie feels. Hence, it is being highly cherished by pastry chefs in Galar.
When being attacked, Alcremie will toss its sweet-scented cream to temporarily distract or blind opponents so as to buy itself enough time to escape.
Natural abilities
Alcremie's cream has an incredibly soothing effect which can cause an opponent to rapidly lose its will to battle when eaten.
The Gigantamax Alcremie's cream gains durability if exposed to physical blows; the more damage it sustains, the harder the cream becomes. In addition, the toppings covering all over Gigantamax Alcremie's body has the hardness exceeding that of diamond, which cannot be dented.
In battle, Gigantamax Alcremie is capable of launching cream projectiles around itself to attack its opponent. The cream projectiles are extremely high in calories and will cause anyone to be filled with energy at the cost of confusion.

Trivia
- Alcremie is the sixth Pokemon to be based on sweets (whipped cream, in this case), the other being the Vanillite evolutionary line (ice cream), Swirlix (cotton candy) and its evolved form Slurpuff (cream puff).
- The Vanillite line are the only ones that are not Fairy type.
Origin
Alcremie is based on several dessert foods including whipped cream, fruits, and might also take reference to the Whipped Dream item.
Its Gigantamax Form is based on a wedding cake and may also take inspiration from past food items in Pokémon games such as Poké Puffs, Poffins or PokéBlocks.
Etymology
Alcremie comes from alchemy, creamy, and cutie. It may also come from a la mode (served with ice-cream).
Its Japanese name, Mahoippu, comes from maho (magic) and hoippu (whipped cream).
