Acid is a Poison-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect[]

In battle[]

From Generation I to Generation III, Acid does damage and has a 10% chance to lower the target's Special Defense by 1 stage. As of Generation IV, Acid does damage and has a 10% chance to lower the target's Defense by 1 stage. In a Double Battle, Acid targets both foes. In a Triple Battle, Acid only targets adjacent foes.
