The Academy Ace Tournament (Japanese: 学校最強大会, Hepburn: Gakkou Saikyou Taikai, trans. Academia Ace Tournament), with the alternative name of the School Battle Brawl (Japanese: バトルスクールウォーズ, Hepburn: Batoru Sukuuru Woozu, trans. Battle School Wars), is a feature in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet unlocked after inspecting all eight Gyms in Paldea after beating the game. It takes place in the central battle court of Mesagoza, hosted by the Naranja AcademyS/Uva AcademyV, and is organized by Nemona with the help of Clavell. The tournament's purpose to nurture young talent in the academy.
It is an elimination tournament, in which 16 participants consisting of the students and staff of the academy battle against each other in the form of single battles; the winner can advance into the next round after being healed up. The tournament consists of 4 rounds (i.e. the player must defeat 4 random participants consecutively in order to win), and the last participant standing is considered the school's ace.
By completing one event of the tournament, all Pokémon in the player's party are awarded the Hall of Fame Ribbon, replacing the Pokémon League challenge. Completing the first event is required to unlock six-star Tera Raid Battles.

- Penny's Pokémon increase to levels 77/78
- Nemona's Pokémon increase to level 79/80
- Geeta's Pokémon increase to levels 84/85
