AZ reminiscing about the past where Floette is in its coffin.
A long time ago, Floette abandoned AZ, who felt Floette was condeming him. Before he could return her, a large flower appeared and shot out a beam. In fact,[1] AZ was a simple man, who befriended a Floette. They both fought in a war 3000 years ago, but Floette died. The man crafted a machine to revive Floette, but was enraged at the world and transformed the machine into the Ultimate Weapon. The world was destroyed and Floette, after learning that many died so she could live, left and abandoned AZ.[2]
After the group from Vaniville Town stopped Team Flare's plans, AZ's Floette returned to him. AZ hugged Floette, realizing it had been 3000 years since he had seen Floette.[3]
