The A-B-C Islands is a location appearing only in "The Evolutionary War" of Pokémon: Advanced Battle.

Description[]

It is an archipelago located within the Hoenn region. The A-B-C Islands are inhabited by not only humans but also several Clamperl on Islands B and C, where they evolve into Gorebyss and Huntail respectively, leading the inhabitants of each island to compete over which Pokémon is stronger.

Each of the islands has a light blue structure designed after a letter in katakana. Island A has a structure reminiscent of the letter イ ("I"), Island B has the Japanese syllable ロ ("Ro"), and Island C has the Japanese syllable ハ ("Ha"). The structures were not changed to the ABC's or other alphabet systems in other dubs accordingly. The three katakana characters make up the first few letters of the Japanese name.

Island A[]

Island A is the main one of the three islands. It is not only inhabited by several characters and Pokémon, but it also has a Pokémon Center, in which a school is also located. The Pokémon Center has a transmitter connected to Islands B and C, making it usable by residents on any of the three islands.

The inhabitants of Islands B and C arrive at this island either by maritime transport or even from either Gorebyss or Huntail.

Island B[]

According to a study from Professor Birch, the water in the caves has small Deep Sea Scales, which evolve a Clamperl into a Gorebyss, which is owned by most of the residents. At least two inhabitants are known: Keith and Midori.

Island C[]

The water in Island C has an abundance of Deep Sea Tooths, unlike Island B. Birch learns here that a Deep Sea Tooth evolves a Clamperl into a Huntail, which is owned by most of the residents. The only human known to live on Island C is Nancy.
