Happy Pokémon Day! It’s that time of the year again. This post will serve as the main communication thread for all topics relating to this months Pokemon Presents and Pokemon day. Certain posts will be allowed to be independent but for the most part, all discussions are to be held here.

This post is here to prevent spoilers and unnecessary clutter. Posts will be filling the discussions so if you see anything that seems repetitive please feel free to report it to the Centre post! More information will be added once Pokemon day gets closer.

This post provides discussion for users interested in competitive battling. The list below displays the rules and guidelines that users need to follow:

1. Discussion of competitive Pokémon is allowed, such as discussing regulations of VGC or Smogon tiers

2. Competive memes are not allowed.

3. VGC and Smogon teams must be posted here, casual teams are not allowed.

4. Users should give only constructive criticism and good advice. "Delete this it's bad" or other joke advice may result in your comments being deleted.

5. A picture and description (natures, moves, items, etc.) must be posted when submitting your team.

6. Only one team should be posted per 24 hours.

7. Any discussion organizing playing time should not be added here. Please use the Online Connection Post instead for such requests.

Hello, Trainers. As much as we love to sit down and have a casual chat on the Off-Topic Post (OTP) we do have certain subjects that people will need to be wary of to maintain a fair discussion for everybody, and tips on how you can help out on such matters.

==Why do people want to do it?==

Because they're curious about what sort of reaction they're going to receive. If it's a reception they like, it leads to success on their part.

==What are the subjects involved?==

While there are obvious severe topics that can instantly be met with a block, here are the following subjects that may also result in you receiving a warning, which will be given by any disc-mod or admin (and/or a block if it's in a short space of time, e.g. one week, or if the warning is ignored).

* Incest

* Child abuse

* Suicide

* Self-harm

* Homophobia

* Transphobia

* Racism

* Antisemitism/Islamophobia/Religious discrimination or anti-religious sentiments

Below is a list of other topics that are known to annoy a specific group of viewers if no action is taken. Anyone posting these may be given a notice by any thread-mod:

* Animal etc. abuse

* Images of needles or pills

* Cartoon gore

And finally, there's nothing we can enforce about hiding posts or spoilers. Even if you post (TW: Whatever) people can still see it if they scroll to it.

==Why are these subjects banned from discussion?==

Not only it can invoke negative reactions from users but give them flashbacks. Flashbacks of negative moments can play over and over again (and that's to all people depending on the trigger) and can result in the rest of their day being ruined, and the following day at least.

There's also the tendency to express such hate too. Keep in mind that you're also likely to cause drama or invoke some sort of backlash by doing it that way. It's better to just leave the OTP alone. And like I said earlier, people will from time to time post things which will get a reaction from other users, intended or not; so maybe they wrote or drew something they didn't mean to?

==How can I help?==

While moderators typically help out with monitoring discussions activity, they cannot patrol the discussions 24/7, and are not aware of everybody's triggers and problems. While it sounds strange, you can still help them! Just send a note with a link on the Pokémon Center Post (or ping an administrator in severe cases) or send a message to a thread-mod's wall, explaining the situation with a link. That's all we need to take care of any matter.

On an additional note, these rule does not apply to fanfics; as you have control over what guidances you want your viewers to take note of. I'll leave this post open for any questions.

OK, as transcripts have been established on the Pokemon Wiki (And the main reason why I signed up to fandom too!) I'm open to episode transcript requests. All episodes from Diamond & Pearl, Black & White, XYZ and Sun & Moon (Limited time!) as well as the first 45 episodes of Horizons are currently available on iPlayer right now. So if any of your favourite characters are on these episodes, feel free to mention them here too!

I haven't gotten around to movies however (or Japanese translation), as they take an even greater deal of time and effort. Conversely I may not be able to do all parts of the episode, as I need to account for my condition (which I explained here), so if I need help at certain points I'll let you know.

Of course, if you're interested in helping out yourself then don't forget to follow the transcript's layout guide for the correct format; alternatively, you can take a look at one of the episodes I've already done to get a feel for how I typically write my scripts. If you have any other queries don't hesitate to speak to me on my wall, or on the Content Post.

My personal note about Blueberry Quests

I've been hearing that users on the OCP have been struggling with attracting members into Union Circles for BlueBerry Quest Points. I highly recommend that you use the Reddit platform at https://www.reddit.com/r/unioncircle/ for such requests, as it's quick to access and you'll be able to find many more players there. You just need to have have a Google/Apple account to set up a Reddit account, and Nintendo Online to access worldwide Union Circles (As you're setting up, don't worry about avatar, usernames or ad tags, just click them at random and continue onwards) and simply create a post with the code after you select Form a Group. In my first reddit session was able to get a full group in less than a minute, and once we got started, I grinded and got over 10,000 points.

Legitimacy of Pokémon in trades

While trading in Scarlet/Violet or other games, it may be useful to check the legitimacy of the Pokémon you receive from trades. This is an excellent link which delve into details about the Pokémon given to you, including the Pokéball and its level. It covers every Pokémon from every generation, and has been updated to reflect Pokemon HOME's latest version. If your received Pokémon doesn't meet the criteria, you may want to release it.

Y'all are supposed to provide evidence for the ban in the form of link or screenshot. Depending on the severity of the case, the time duration for the ban would be decided.

I'd also like to remind when to ban someone:

- If the user is not contributing to the main discussions and is constantly always on the off topic post.
