Your starter. Its stage two evolution can be pretty good.
The professor. They only exist to give you your first pokemon, but they play a huge role in the game.
The classes in scarlet/violet. I dont care what you think about them, you can enter a quick cutscene to give your hands a break.
The water starters. The black sheep of pokemon players tend to choose them or the grass one, but the water one is strong against quite a few types. (Ground, fire and rock) And only has two weaknesses. (Grass and electric)
