((YES YES BURN THE CHILD
The two mates bowed to Lumi and Eris. “We will return tomorrow. If we cannot find you by noon, we’ve been told to assume you’ve failed.” And with that they fly away.
The Unfezant led the gang further into the desert, leading them around quicksand and aggressive herds of Hippowdown numerous times.
Eventually, they made their way to something strange: a stone monolith in flat expanse of the desert, no dunes in sight. They stopped the group in front of it. ”Here we are!”
(Aight give me a sec to type this up, I’m currently getting situated at the plane yard still
(I’m back :D
Compass, the male Unfezant, swept his wings in a dramatic way. “Follow us. We’ll bring you to your destination shortly.”
(for the sake of time we can do a travel skip if y’all want
(Well chat, I’m on my flight… see you guys in two hours probably?
Mutter mutter “Try it, wench…” mutter mutter.
Said doggo leads the group through the forest, eventually making their way to what was seemingly its edge, where the greenery met the harsh orange and yellows of a badlands-style ecosystem. A Helioptile scurries off as two pidgeon-like birds land on a rock near the edge. The one with an ornate red mask nods respectfully to Z2, while the plainer brown one looks at the gang with kindness and curiosity in her eyes.
”This is where I leave you. Compass and Rose will lead you to the prison. I’d say try not to die, but I wouldn’t want the Mandibuzz to go without a meal. Farewell.” And with that, the turn away into the woods, stark white against the darkness of the forest.
The two Unfezant watch the group expectantly. “Greetings.” “Hi, there, sweeties!”
“I’m sorry, weren’t you just trying to kill them? I’d keep it down, Gardevoir.” The dog looked back at Eris. “I don’t need to explain myself to you. Now come on.”
“Silence, fool. If I had my power I would have incinerated your friends the second you acquired the Dread Plate. I’m only doing this because Arceus is out of line: Humans can stay gone.” They walk off without another look, expecting the rest to follow.
“…I’m leading the lot of you to the edge of the forest. There’s a desert a couple of miles from here, and it’s there that Xerneas is being held. The Unfezant will meet us where I cannot go any farther.” They scowled at the Porygon-Z. “I’d prefer it if we kept talking to a minimum until then.”
Hm. Z2 is not friendly, got it.

Ohm: “You have a child a weapon of m-m-mass destruction. What’d you th-think he’d do, use it? Now c’mon, the dog is waiting.”
Doggo grows impatient.
(If you get any S-tier score, you unlock the S-tier room, which lets you play the OG game that Tenna made
(but if you S-tier both levels you can finish the game, which I guess unlocks the secret boss? It may be Mike
(also as of rn the doggo is Z2, not Squishy
(WHAT. I need a perfect score for act one for the secret boss?! Ughhh crazy that’s so much dialogue ughhhhhhh chat I already need to replay
Squishy nods, before deconstructing themself. The cells form around the angry looking Core. This time, the canine formed was stark white. It sneered, before shaking its head and walking away. “Follow me.”
(Anyways back on topic
Looking around at the group giving their affirmation, Zygarde nodded in understanding. “Got it… I guess if you guys are up for it, I’ll tell you we’re the prison is… Z2 over here says they’ll lead you as far as they can, and we have a map marking the ten mile radius, provided by a few helpful Unfezant… unless you guys have anything else you all need, I’ll be handing these cells over to Z2.”
(Chat I’m going to speed run these two chapters faster than I’ve ever sped.
(also, I’m considering something…
( @InlandTaipan when I’m gone, I give you full permission to take control of Zygarde, since if you guys pull of this mission, they’ll be helping you in the endgame.
( @ZeldaPro97 you can get Ohm if you want him, I feel like you have experience playing cranky old men. If you guys don’t want to play either, it’s fine, I was planning on Ohm to die at the end/epilogue anyway
Squishy smiles. “For the most part, yeah.” They grow serious again. “I need to know if you guys are really up to this. This will most likely be one of your more… difficult challenges. And like I said before, most of us Cores think trying to confront Arceus is folly… are you sure you guys want to do this?”
Ohm hasn’t said much, since he isn’t too familiar with Kalosian Legends, but here he speaks up. “Listen, m-most of us here have stakes in this mission. Half of us are m-m-missing trainers we loved. The rest, f-for the most part, agree that not all humans were b-bad, and could’ve saved our world. So I, f-for one, am positive we’re doing the right th-thing.”
They laugh. “Not that big. I hope-“
”Besides, he’s always too busy fighting with his siblings in Hoenn, shouldn’t be that old grump.” They mutter under their breath: “Stupid freaking lizard is just a little older than me and thinks he can claim the world as his own, egotistical prick-“
“Again, I don’t know… it’s made of a some kind of anti-Zygarde energy? All I know is that something bigggg guards the inner chamber… we can feel the tectonic shifts from here. But getting inside is up to you guys.”
Squishy nods. “I can’t get within 10 miles of Xerneas’ prison, and I don’t exactly know how to release her. But I do know where she is. Free her, and you’ll get the Plate and our everlasting debt.”
